一、Duas for Good Health, Protection, and Prosperity
1. Three Supplications for Morning & Evening (Sunan Abu Dawud)
Dua 1: For Health of Body, Hearing, and Sight
Allahumma aa-fi-nee fee ba-da-nee, Allahumma aa-fi-nee fee sam’ee, Allahumma aa-fi-nee fee ba-sa-ree, laa ‘i-laaha ‘il-laa Ant
O Allah, grant me health in my body. O Allah, grant me good hearing. O Allah, grant me good eyesight. There is no god worthy of worship except You.
Dua 2: For Protection from Disbelief, Poverty, and Grave Torment
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal kufri wal faqri, Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘adhabil qabri, laa ilaha illa anta
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave. There is no god but You.
Dua 3: For Allah’s Mercy and Guidance in All Affairs
Allahumma Rahmataka Arjoo, falaa takilni ila nafsee tarfata ayn, aslih li sha’ni kullah, la illaaha ila anta
O Allah! I hope for Your mercy. Do not abandon me to myself for an instant, but set all my affairs in order. There is no god but You.
These duas are narrated in Sunan Abu Dawud 5090, with multiple transmitters confirming the Prophet’s (ﷺ) practice:
- Abu Bakrah reported that his father, Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Bakrah, recited the first dua morning and evening, saying: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) use these words and I love to follow his practice.”
- The second dua was similarly transmitted as part of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) daily supplications, seeking protection from spiritual and material hardships.
- The third dua was described by the Prophet (ﷺ) as a supplication for those in distress, emphasizing reliance on Allah’s mercy to resolve all matters.
二、Dua for Visiting a Sick Person
As’alullāha ‘l-Aẓīma Rabba ‘l-Arshil-`Aẓīmi an yashfiyak
I ask Almighty Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to make you well.

三、Dua to Remove Physical Pain
- Place your hand gently on the area of pain.
- Recite “Bismillah” (In the Name of Allah) three times.
- Recite the following dua seven times:
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ
A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru
I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear.
Uthman b. Abu al-‘As Al-Thaqafi reported feeling pain after embracing Islam and complaining to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet advised this practice, which is narrated in Sahih Muslim 2202.
四、Islamic Guidance for Good Health
1. Avoid Harmful Substances & Practices
- Forbidden substances: Alcohol, tobacco, pork, and any intoxicant or toxin that harms the body.
- Harmful actions: Overeating, neglecting sleep, or engaging in reckless behavior—all of which violate the duty to protect Allah’s trust.
2. “Harm is Haram” (La Darar wa La Dirar)
- Smoking harms the body and those around you (secondhand smoke), so it is forbidden.
- Overconsuming processed sugars, unhealthy fats, or addictive substances violates the duty to maintain health.
3. Practical Health Tips
- Exercise Regularly: The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged movement—walking, hiking, or physical work. Start small (5–10 minutes daily) and be consistent. Consistency is more important than intensity.
- Eat Mindfully: Fuel your body with nutritious foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, probiotic-rich yogurt) and limit processed foods, sugar, and refined carbohydrates. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Eat what is beneficial, and avoid what is harmful.”
- Maintain a Healthy Weight: Many diseases (diabetes, heart disease) stem from poor diet and inactivity. Balance intake with physical activity to honor your body.
- Regular Medical Check-Ups: Early detection of illnesses (e.g., cancer, hypertension) saves lives. Do not delay visiting a doctor—seeking medical help is not a sign of weak faith, but of responsibility.
- Avoid Self-Harm: Allah says: “O you who have believed, do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.” (Qur’an 4:29) This includes neglecting your health or engaging in self-destructive behavior.
4. Embrace Change
