Dua For Success in Exams and Results
Translation: “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”
Transliteration: Rabbi ishrah lee sadree Wayassir lee amree
Translation: “O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness); Ease my task for me;” Surah Taha Ayat 25-26
3 Study Tips to Ace Your Exams
- Teach what you’ve learned. If you don’t have someone to teach the material to, pretend to lead a class. Don’t just read from notes—use your memory to clearly explain what you’ve learned. Speaking out loud makes you 50% more likely to retain information. You’ll know if you’re expressing ideas clearly: if you struggle, you probably don’t understand the material as well as you thought—and that’s a good reminder to review.
- Don’t fool yourself. Re-reading texts or redoing the same math problems can be a form of self-deception. Familiarity doesn’t equal mastery. Re-reading might feel comforting, but the best way to test your understanding is to tackle new questions or teach the material to someone else.
- Know yourself. Figure out how you learn best, then do more of that. Do you study better in the morning or night? In a group or alone? With lectures or textbooks? Try new learning strategies—taking notes, highlighting, flashcards, mind-mapping—and see which works best for you.
Dua For Success in Business
“Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish – That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.”
Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan
“O Allah! I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision and deeds that will be accepted.”
“Woe to those who give less [than due], Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. Do they not think that they will be resurrected” Surah Mutaffifin Ayat 1-4

Dua For Successful Pregnancy
“My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.” Surah Imran Ayah 38
“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” Surah Furqan Ayah 74
Dua For Success At Work
- Never outshine your superiors. This may seem counterintuitive, but always make those above you feel comfortable. In your eagerness to showcase your talents, you might inspire jealousy or fear and be seen as a threat. I witnessed this firsthand: my father, with his strong immigrant work ethic, tried to outwork everyone at his new job. He had good intentions, but this made his colleagues feel insecure and resentful. Unfortunately, office politics are real—you must manage others’ insecurities carefully. Try to make others look good, and they’ll bring you along.
- Don’t complain or engage in office gossip. Backbiting is a serious sin in Islam, and the Prophet (pbuh) warned against it. Cliques often form in workplaces, and people gossip to pass the time. Stay away from this behavior—nothing good comes of it, and it is prohibited. In the Quran, Surah Hujurat Ayat 12: “O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.”
- Be professional. The workplace is a serious environment—be friendly, but avoid excessive joking. After all, it’s called “work,” not “play.” Your job is to be dependable and reliable. If you can demonstrate that, your boss will have no reason to let you go.
- Invest in yourself. A wise saying goes: “Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.” You get paid for bringing value to the marketplace—To achieve financial success, you must increase your own worth. If you ever lose your job, the investment you made in yourself is something no one can take away.
