He is our Maula (Lord, Helper and Protector). And in Allah let the believers put their trust.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-IsEPfqokrd2zQXcORegcRdo6ncc\">Surah Yunus Verse 49 states: \u201cI possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it].\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-TQwefnLACdJkRBcd5aVcbOsbnq8\">It was narrated by Ibn \u2018Abbas that when Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) was thrown into the fire, he said: \u201cAllah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs.\u201d The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (\ufdfa) said the same when he was told: \u201cA great army of the pagans has gathered against you, so fear them.\u201d This warning only increased his and the Muslims\u2019 faith, and they said: \u201cAllah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-KYTrf7Q7ndFyHvcWIrncVX4unwe\">The same verses can be interpreted differently depending on one\u2019s perspective.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-OWh1f492ddcr9XcclPZcGnJZnef\">A pessimistic person might read these passages and think: \u201cWhat\u2019s the point in even trying? I won\u2019t study for that test, won\u2019t do the necessary preparation to succeed, won\u2019t wake up early and give my best.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-PkEEfQyi0dvvQRcE8Jgcb2Wpnhg\">This mindset is wrong.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-Rp9JfXrwOdmaM1c4Uo4c0cUhnGg\">Putting your faith in Allah means believing in and accepting His plan. You must do everything within your capacity; what happens next is predetermined by Allah.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-H43MfcoamdW9eIcB5qZcxb6fnyd\">We must accept both good and bad fortune with gratitude to Allah. We must learn to endure, embrace it, move forward, and become better because of it.<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-ISjtfNIgYdoG06ci4LCcLbvMngf\">Hasbiyallahu La Ilaha Illa Hu Alayhi Tawakkaltu Dua in Arabic<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-X7e0fGsaydwo67csLf2cwMdpnxM\">The Arabic text of this dua is as follows:<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-J3s6fVYEgddSIHcEXxJcLn47nec\">\u062d\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0628\u0650\u064a\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f \u0644\u0627\u064e \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0647\u064e \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0627\u064e\u0651 \u0647\u064f\u0648\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u062a\u064e\u0648\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0651\u0644\u0652\u062a\u064f \u0648\u064e\u0647\u064f\u0648\u064e \u0631\u064e\u0628\u064f\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0639\u064e\u0631\u0652\u0634\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0639\u064e\u0638\u0650\u064a\u0645\u0650<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-RWmHfQ7NKdAm53cXk4lc7C5Rnae\">Transliteration<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-Gadof9ea2dMUNPcbX7CcaDN2nFd\">HasbiyAllahu laa ilaaha illa huwa alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul arshil adheem.<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-LIT4fCyaAdwBzTcuhkMcwAcJnqb\">Meaning of the Dua<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-M7QvfaRKWdaooIcWXqXcFFDonJf\">The meaning of \u201cHasbiyallahu la ilaha illa hu alayhi tawakkaltu\u2026\u201d is: \u201cAllah is sufficient for me. There is none worthy of worship but Him. I have placed my trust in Him. He is the Lord of the Majestic Throne.\u201d<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-HJKCfCvukdec04cJbKWcpQPxn6c\">Clarification on Recitation and Expectations<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-CWQ4fEX3fdeisqcNBvocJZJcnPf\">Some may hold the belief that reciting this dua seven times morning and evening will make Allah sufficient for them against all grief, or that whatever they desire will come true. This is incorrect.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-F2QtftN8adWydrcFRWOcRyfInKf\">The Quran states \u201cEvery prayer is answered,\u201d but this does not mean \u201cI will accept every one of your prayers.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-TwLHf3ChAdA9N0cl2aacSlspnVg\">In Surah Baqarah Ayah 216, Allah, in His infinite wisdom, says: \u201cBut perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you.
