Specifically, right after the Takbeer\u2014raising your hands and saying \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d\u2014you may recite this dua.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-UzK0fFlKsd7Z1UcXXc6ctNbEnNd\">It is important to remember that this opening dua is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (\ufdfa), not a mandatory act. Additionally, Abu Sa\u2019eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) used to start his prayer with this same supplication.<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-TAUhfEDsldkj06cFakHcqIxqnyh\">Other Duas Beginning with \u201cSubhanaka Allahumma\u201d<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-CTheflCAfdaH5ocUJLlcsS3Ynhe\">There are other dua mentioned in hadith that begin with \u201cSubhanaka Allahumma\u201d (meaning \u201cGlory be to You O Allah\u201d). Below are three such duas:<\/div>\n<ul class=\"list-bullet1\">\n<li class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-LdDSfyvAddxycVchnhGcud4Gnuf\" data-list=\"bullet\">\n<div>Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) used to say when bowing and prostrating: \u201cSubhanaka Allahumma, Rabbana wa bihamdik. Allahumma-ghfirli (Glory be to You O Allah, Our Lord, and praise. O Allah, forgive me),\u201d following the command of the Quran.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-ZUtBfraNRd0ywhctE3acy7RwnYJ\" data-list=\"bullet\">\n<div>Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said: \u201cWhoever sits in a gathering and indulges in useless talk and before getting up supplicates: \u2018Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaika (O Allah, You are free from every imperfection; praise be to You.
