Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-FRt6fx75idCsFEc4tNXc5Kv0nRe\">Regarding the Day the account is established, it is stated in the Quran: \u201cAllah will recompense every soul for what it earned. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.\u201d (14:51)<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-Y2cUfIElBdZBT3comutcIfPenvh\">It is wise for us to recite this dua regularly. It is a beautiful supplication that asks Allah for many blessings, with the main focus on the well-being of the family. It prays for good fortune for oneself, one\u2019s children, and one\u2019s parents, and even extends to asking for forgiveness for the entire Muslim Ummah.<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-PXauf7bnwdIm3vcsjmOckOdDnXe\">Background Behind This Dua:<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-FmUIfez6ZdE7JUctzVgc5Ovvnpe\">Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) included his father, who was a mushrik (polytheist), in this prayer because he had made a promise to pray for his father\u2019s forgiveness. However, when he realized that his father was an enemy of Allah, he distanced himself from praying for his forgiveness. This is mentioned in Surah At-Taubah, Ayat 114:<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-CP3UfKXyhdghiScOENRcLjpsnig\">\u201cAnd the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him.
