Allah (\u0633\u064f\u0628\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0670\u0646\u064e\u0647\u064f\u06e5 \u0648\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0670\u0644\u064e\u0649\u0670) says in the Qur\u2019an: \u201cAllah does not intend to inconvenience you, but He intends to purify you and perfect His favor to you, so that you may give thanks.\u201d (Qur\u2019an 5:6)<\/div>\n

Islam emphasizes two forms of purification: inner purity (of the heart and mind) and outer purity (of the body). As narrated in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet Muhammad (\ufdfa) taught: \u201cCleanliness is half of faith.\u201d<\/div>\n

Wudu (ritual ablution) is an obligatory act of outer purification before prayer (salah). While the act of wudu itself is fardh (obligatory), the supplications (duas) associated with it are sunnah (Prophetic practice)\u2014meaning they are recommended but not required. Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (\ufdfa) said: \u201cNone of you makes wudu and completes it, then says [the Shahada], except that all eight Gates of Paradise are opened for him, so he may enter by whichever he pleases.\u201d (Sunan an-Nasa\u2019i 148, graded Sahih by Darussalam)<\/p><\/div>\n
