\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013
\nWhat a year was 570 AD
\nA person was born, a prophet to be<\/p>\n

Muhammed (\ufdfa) that was his name
\nPeople were misguided and that\u2019s when he came<\/p>\n

He would go on to leave all the idols behind
\nHe is an example to the whole of mankind<\/p>\n

Rabbi-al-Awwal, in it was a day
\nHe came to this world to show us the way<\/p>\n

He was born in Mecca, the holiest place
\nA life full of challenges he was to face<\/p>\n

Abdullah, his father, had by then passed away
\nLeaving Amina, his mother, in her arms he lay<\/p>\n

Halima Sadia took over his care
\nUntil he was six, our prophet was there<\/p>\n

His mother then died, he was left all alone
\nAbdul Muttalib, his grand-dad then made him his own<\/p>\n

When our prophet was nine, his grandfather died
\nAbu Talib, his uncle, became his new guide<\/p>\n

In his 20\u2019s,a merchant Muhammed (\ufdfa) became by trade
\nAl-Amin (the trustworthy), became his grade<\/p>\n

Khadija (r.a.) aged 40, became his bride
\nHe was 25, with her by his side<\/p>\n

To the poor, she gave away all her wealth
\nA dedicated wife in sickness and health<\/p>\n

360 idols in the Ka\u2019aba, there were at that time
\nOur prophet realised that this was a crime<\/p>\n

He would go to mount Hira, leaving behind his wife
\nReflecting and wondering about the meaning of life<\/p>\n

Whilst thinking there in the midst of the night
\nHe heard a loud voice which filled him with fright<\/p>\n

It was the angel Jibreel (a.s.) who asked him to read
\nOur prophet couldn\u2019t and didn\u2019t take heed<\/p>\n

The angel embraced him and then asked him later
\n\u2018Read, Read in the name of the Creator\u2019<\/p>\n

Who created man from a drop of blood
\nOur prophet couldn\u2019t read but at that time he could<\/p>\n

Our prophet rushed to the path straight ahead
\nHe heard a voice from the heavens which said<\/p>\n

Muhammed (\ufdfa) truly you are the messenger of God
\nMuhammed (\ufdfa) was scared and thought this quite odd<\/p>\n

\u2018Praise be to God\u2019 his wife said instead
\n\u2018I know you\u2019ve been chosen as God\u2019s messenger\u2019 she said<\/p>\n

And thus Khadija (r.a.) became the first woman of Islam
\nAnd over the next 23 years came the revelation, the Quran<\/p>\n

He preached to all people, every creed, every race
\nYet so many hardships he had to face<\/p>\n

There were fears for his life, then the Hijra\u2019h took place
\nHe entered Medina, by the Almighty\u2019s grace<\/p>\n

He was greeted by the Ansaris who were not like the others
\nthey treated the Muhajirs like their very own brothers<\/p>\n

Then came the battles, fought face to face
\nThen the conquest of Mecca, Muhammed (\ufdfa)\u2019s birthplace<\/p>\n

An-Nasr was revealed, it\u2019s message was clear
\nMuhammed (saws) knew that his time was near<\/p>\n

Everyone gathered to hear his last speech
\nlittle did they know how far Allah\u2019s message would reach<\/p>\n

Muhammed (\ufdfa) gave us the miracle, the Quran
\nAnd now a 1\/4 of the world follow Islam<\/p>\n

He is our role-model, the best of mankind
\nAnd has left the Quran and his Sunnah behind<\/p>\n

Read the Quran as much as you can
\nThe words of Allah (SWT) for the guidance of man<\/p>\n

And follow our prophet\u2019s sunnah, when eating and dressing
\nAnd send him salutations and many a blessing<\/p>\n

He came to mankind to show us the way
\nAnd Insha-Allah, we\u2019ll meet him, we\u2019ll meet him one day.<\/p>\n
