This means affirming that only All\u0101h possesses the perfect names and attributes described in the Qur\u2019an and Sunnah, without altering, denying, or comparing them to anything in creation. <em>Tawheed-al-Asma\u2019 wa \u1e62if\u0101t<\/em> teaches that All\u0101h\u2019s names and qualities are unique to Him, reflecting His greatness, power, and mercy.<\/p>\n<p>For example, All\u0101h describes Himself as <em>Ar-Ra\u1e25m\u0101n<\/em> (the Most Merciful) and <em>Al-\u02bfAl\u012bm<\/em> (the All-Knowing), and we believe these qualities are unique to All\u0101h in their perfection and scope. This aspect of <em>Tawheed<\/em> emphasizes that His attributes are beyond human likeness or limitation.<\/p>\n<p>All\u0101h says in the Qur\u2019an:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<strong>\u201cThere is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2014 <em>Surah Ash-Sh\u016br\u0101 (42:11)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This verse reinforces that while All\u0101h has attributes such as hearing and seeing, they are incomparable to anything in creation.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>All\u0101h also says:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cAnd to All\u0101h belong the best names, so invoke Him by them.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2014 <em>Surah Al-A\u2019raf (7:180)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This verse encourages us to know and call upon All\u0101h by His beautiful names, as they reflect His unique and perfect attributes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tawheed-al-Asma\u2019 wa \u1e62if\u0101t is the belief in the oneness of All\u0101h\u2019s names and attributes.
