It involves placing reliance, love, or fear in something other than All\u0101h in ways that undermine the purity of <em>Taw\u1e25\u012bd<\/em> (monotheism). <em>Shirk Khafi<\/em> is called \u201cinconspicuous\u201d because it can be so subtle that it goes unnoticed, yet it can still weaken one\u2019s devotion and sincerity toward All\u0101h.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of inconspicuous <em>shirk<\/em> include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Trust in worldly means more than All\u0101h:<\/strong> If a person excessively relies on wealth, status, or other people to achieve their goals, thinking that these alone will bring success, this can lead to <em>shirk khafi<\/em>. True reliance should ultimately rest with All\u0101h, while recognizing that all means are under His control.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unnoticed desire for others\u2019 approval in worship:<\/strong> Performing good deeds, even partially, to gain praise or approval from people rather than purely for All\u0101h\u2019s sake is an example of inconspicuous <em>shirk<\/em>.
