In Islam, <em>Taghut<\/em> encompasses anything that stands as a barrier between a person and true monotheism (<em>Taw\u1e25\u012bd<\/em>) by diverting worship, obedience, or authority away from All\u0101h.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of <em>Taghut<\/em> include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Idols and false gods:<\/strong> Any deity or idol worshiped besides All\u0101h.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tyrants who claim divine authority:<\/strong> Rulers or leaders who command obedience in opposition to All\u0101h\u2019s laws or claim authority over matters of faith.<\/li>\n<li><strong>People who invite others to worship them or follow misguided paths:<\/strong> Those who call people to acts of devotion or practices that contradict Islamic teachings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sorcery and magic:<\/strong> Practices that rely on supernatural forces other than All\u0101h.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All\u0101h commands Muslims to reject <em>Taghut<\/em> and devote themselves solely to Him.
