All\u0101humma inn\u012b as\u2019aluka fi\u02bfla-l-khayr\u0101t, wa tarka-l-munkar\u0101t, wa \u1e25ubba-l-mas\u0101k\u012bn, wa an taghfira l\u012b wa tar\u1e25aman\u012b, wa idh\u0101 arad-ta fitnata qawmin fa-tawaffan\u012b ghayra maft\u016bn, wa as\u2019aluka \u1e25ubbak, wa \u1e25ubba ma-y-yu\u1e25ibbuk, wa \u1e25ubba \u02bfamali-y-yuqarribun\u012b il\u0101 \u1e25ubbik.<\/sub><\/sup><\/p>\n

\u201cO Allah, I beg You to enable me to do good deeds, abstain from evil acts, and love the poor; and that You forgive me and have mercy upon me. When You intend to test a people, then grant me death without being tested. I ask You for Your love, the love of those whom You love, and the love of deeds which will bring me closer to Your love.\u201d<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n

Mu\u2019\u0101dh b. Jabl (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) narrates: \u201cOne morning, the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa was prevented from coming to us for the Fajr Sal\u0101h, until we were just about to look for the eye of the sun (meaning sunrise). Then he came out quickly and the Sal\u0101h was prepared for.<\/p>\n

The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa performed the Salah, and he performed his Salah in a relatively quick manner. When he said the sal\u0101m, he called out to us saying: \u2018Stay in your rows as you are.\u2019 Then he turned to us and said: \u2018I am going to narrate to you what kept me from you this morning: I got up during the night, I performed wudhu and prayed as much as I was able to, and I dozed off during my Sal\u0101h, and fell in a deep asleep. Then I saw my Lord, Blessed and Most High, in the best of appearances. He said: \u2018O Muhammad!\u2019 I said: \u2018My Lord here I am my Lord!\u2019 He said: \u2018What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?\u2019 I said: \u2018I do not know Lord.\u2019 And He said it three times.\u201d He said: \u201cSo I saw Him place His Palm between my shoulders, and I sensed the coolness of His Fingertips between my breast. Then everything was disclosed for me, and I became aware. So He said: \u2018O Muhammad!\u2019 I said: \u2018Here I am my Lord!\u2019 He said: \u2018What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?\u2019 I said: \u2018In the acts that atone.\u2019 He said: \u2018And what are they?\u2019 I said: \u2018The footsteps to the congregation, the gatherings in the Mas\u0101jid after the Sal\u0101h, doing wudhu perfectly during difficulties.\u2019 He said: \u2018Then what else?\u2019 I said: \u2018Feeding others, being lenient in speech, and Sal\u0101h during the night while the people are sleeping.\u2019 He said: \u2018Ask.\u2019 I said: [the above]\u2019\u201d The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: \u201cIndeed it is true, so study it and learn it.\u201d\u00a0(Tirmidh\u012b 3235)<\/strong><\/p>\n
