Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason. (3:190)<\/strong>\r\n\r\n(They are) those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth (and pray), \u201cOur Lord! You have not created (all of) this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire. (3:191)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nOur Lord! Indeed, those You commit to the Fire will be (completely) disgraced! And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. (3:192)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nOur Lord! We have heard the caller to (true) belief, (proclaiming,) \u2018Believe in your Lord (alone),\u2019 so we believed. Our Lord! Forgive our sins, absolve us of our misdeeds, and allow us \u02f9each\u02fa to die as one of the virtuous. (3:193)\r\n<\/strong>\r\nOur Lord! Grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not put us to shame on Judgment Day\u2014for certainly You never fail in Your promise.\u201d (3:194)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSo their Lord responded to them: \u201cI will never deny any of you\u2014male or female\u2014the reward of your deeds. Both are equal in reward. Those who migrated or were expelled from their homes, and were persecuted for My sake and fought and (some) were martyred\u2014I will certainly forgive their sins and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah. And with Allah is the finest reward!\u201d (3:195)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nDo not be deceived by the prosperity of the disbelievers throughout the land. (3:196)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIt is only a brief enjoyment. Then Hell will be their home\u2014what an evil place to rest! (3:197)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nBut those who are mindful of their Lord will be in Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever\u2014as an accommodation from Allah. And what is with Allah is best for the virtuous. (3:198)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIndeed, there are some among the People of the Book who truly believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you (believers) and what was revealed to them. They humble themselves before Allah\u2014never trading Allah\u2019s revelations for a fleeting gain. Their reward is with their Lord. Surely Allah is swift in reckoning. (3:199)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nO believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful. (3:200)<\/strong><\/pre>\n
\u02bfAbdull\u0101h b. \u02bfAbb\u0101s (radiy All\u0101hu \u02bfanhum\u0101) narrated that he stayed overnight in the house of Maym\u016bna (rad\u0323iy Alla\u0304hu \u02bfanha\u0304) the wife of the Prophet \ufdfa, his aunt. He added: \u201cI lay on the bed (cushion transversely) while the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa and his wife lay in the lengthwise direction of the cushion. The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa slept till the middle of the night, either a little before or a little after it and then woke up, rubbing the traces of sleep off his face with his hands.\u00a0He then, recited the last ten verses of S\u016brah al-\u2018Imr\u0101n<\/em>, got up and went to a hanging water-skin. He then performed wu\u1e0d\u016b from it and it was a perfect wu\u1e0d\u016b, and then stood up to offer the sal\u0101h. I, too, got up and did as the Prophet \ufdfa had done. Then I went and stood by his side. He placed his right hand on my head and caught my right ear and twisted it. He prayed two rak\u02bfah then two rak\u02bfah and two rak\u02bfah and then two rak\u02bfah and then two rak\u02bfah and then two rak\u02bfah (separately six times), and finally one rak\u02bfah (the witr). Then he lay down again in the bed till the Mu\u2019adhdhin came to him whereupon the Prophet \ufdfa got up, offered two light rak\u02bfah and went out and led the Fajr sal\u0101h.\u00a0(Bukh\u0101r\u012b 183)<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner whatsoever. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He is over all things All-Powerful. All praise be to Allah and Allah is free from imperfection. There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. There is no power (in averting evil) or strength (in attaining good) except through Allah. O Allah, forgive me.<\/pre>\n
The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: \u201cWhoever gets up at night and says [the above] and then says: \u2018O Allah, forgive me\u2019 or makes du\u2018\u0101\u2019, it will be accepted. If he performs wudh\u016b and prays, his prayer will be accepted.\u201d\u00a0(Bukh\u0101r\u012b)<\/strong><\/p>\n
