Anas b. M\u0101lik (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) narrated: \u201cThe Prophet \ufdfa performed Hajj on an old saddle, wearing a cloak that was worth four Dirham or less. Ibn \u02bfAbb\u0101s (radiy All\u0101h\u016b \u02bfanhum\u0101) narrates that the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa performed \u1e6caw\u0101f (of the Ka\u02bfbah) riding a camel (at that time the Prophet \ufdfa had a foot injury). Whenever he came to the Corner (where the Black Stone is located), he would point out towards it with a thing in his hand and say [the above].\u00a0(Bukh\u0101r\u012b 1632)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.<\/pre>\n

[You may] take the standing-place of Ibrahim as a site of prayer. (2:125)<\/strong><\/pre>\n
J\u0101bir (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) said: \u201c\u2026Then the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa came to the Maq\u0101m (Ibrahim) and said [the above]. He raised his voice so the people heard him and prayed two rak\u02bfah\u2019s with the Maq\u0101m between him and the Ka\u02bfbah. In the first rak\u02bfah, he recited S\u016brah al-Ikhl\u0101s, and in the second rak\u2019ah, he recited S\u016brah al-K\u0101fir\u016bn.\u201d\u00a0(Nas\u0101\u2019\u012b 3929)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Indeed, \u1e62af\u0101 and Marwa are from the Signs of Allah. I begin with that which Allah has begun with.<\/pre>\n

All\u0101hu Akbar, All\u0101hu Akbar, All\u0101hu Akbar, l\u0101 il\u0101ha ill\u0101-ll\u0101hu wa\u1e25dah\u016b l\u0101 shar\u012bka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-\u1e25amdu yu\u1e25y\u012b wa yum\u012bt, wa Huwa \u02bfal\u0101 kulli shay\u2019in Qad\u012br, l\u0101 il\u0101ha ill\u0101-ll\u0101h, anjaza wa\u02bfdah, wa na\u1e63ara \u02bfabdah, wa hazama-l-a\u1e25z\u0101ba wa\u1e25dah.<\/em><\/pre>\n
There is no god but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner whatsoever. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He gives life and He gives death. He is over all things All-Powerful. There is no deity except Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, supported His slave and defeated the confederates alone.<\/pre>\n
J\u0101bir (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) said: \u201cThe Messenger of Allah \ufdfa went to \u1e62af\u0101 and Marwa and recited [the above]. He began with \u1e62af\u0101 and climbed it until he could see the Ka\u02bfbah, then he turned to face the qiblah and proclaimed the Oneness of Allah and magnified Him.\u201d\u00a0(Muslim 1218)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mas\u02bf\u016bd (radiy All\u0101h\u016b \u2018anhum\u0101) and \u02bfAbdullah b. \u02bfUmar (radiy All\u0101h\u016b \u2018anhum\u0101) would both say [the above] during the walking between \u1e62af\u0101 and Marwa.\u00a0(\u1e6cabar\u0101n\u012b in al-Du\u02bf\u0101\u2019 870)<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner whatsoever. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He is over all things All-Powerful.<\/pre>\n
Ibn \u2018Amr (radiy All\u0101h\u016b \u2018anhum\u0101) narrates that the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: \u201cThe best du\u02bf\u0101\u2019 is the du\u02bf\u0101\u2019 of the day of \u02bfArafah. The best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is [the above].\u201d\u00a0(Tirmidh\u012b 3585)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Al-Zuhr\u012b (ra\u1e25imahull\u0101h) narrated: \u201cWhenever the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa stoned the Jamarah (pillar) near Mina Mosque, he would throw seven small pebbles and say takb\u012br on each pebble. Then he would go ahead and stand facing the qiblah with his hands raised, supplicating (to Allah). He would stand for a long period. Then he would come to the second Jamarah (al-Wus\u1e6d\u0101) and stone it with seven small pebbles, reciting takb\u012br on each pebble. Then he would stand facing the qiblah with his hands raised, supplicating (to Allah). Then he would come to the Jamarah (al \u02bfaqabah) and throw seven small pebbles, reciting takb\u012br on each pebble. He would then leave and not stay by it (to supplicate).<\/p>\n
