There is no god but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He gives life and He gives death. He is Ever-Living and does not die. In His Hand is all good and He is over all things All-Powerful.<\/pre>\n

O Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, Splitter of the seed and the date stone, the One who revealed the Torah, the Injeel and the Criterion (Qur\u2019\u0101n); I seek Your protection from the evil of every thing You hold by the forehead (i.e. fully control). You are the First and there is nothing before You. You are the Last and there is nothing after You. You are the Most High and there is nothing above You. You are the Most Near and there is nothing closer than You. Pay the debts on our behalf and relieve us from poverty.<\/pre>\n
Suhayl reports that Ab\u016b S\u0101li\u1e25 would command us: \u201cIf one of you intends to go sleep, he should lie on his right side and say [the above].\u201d Ab\u016b Sali\u1e25 would narrate this from Ab\u016b Hurayrah (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) who narrated it from the Prophet \ufdfa.\u00a0(Muslim 2713)<\/strong><\/p>\n

(O) the Extremely Merciful and the Especially Merciful in this world and the hereafter; You give from them (this world and the hereafter) whomsoever You will and You withhold from them whomsoever You will. Have mercy on me which will leave me free of the mercy of those other than You.<\/pre>\n
Anas b. M\u0101lik (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u2018anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said to Mu\u02bf\u0101dh: \u201cShall I not teach you such a du\u02bf\u0101 that if you had debt equal to Mount Uhud, Allah will pay it off for you. O Allah, I seek Your protection from anxiety and grief. I seek Your protection from inability and laziness. I seek Your protection from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek Your protection from being overcome by debt and being overpowered by men.<\/pre>\n
Ab\u016b Sa\u02bf\u012bd al-Khudr\u012b (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u02bfanhu) narrated that one day, the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa entered the masjid. He saw a man from the An\u1e63\u0101r called Ab\u016b Um\u0101mah (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u02bfanhu). He \ufdfa asked, \u201cWhat is the matter? Why are you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time for prayer?\u201d He replied, \u201cNever-ending worries and debts, O Messenger of Allah.\u201d The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa then asked, \u201cShall I not teach you words by which, when you say them, Allah will remove your worries, and settle your debts?\u201d He replied, \u201cYes of course, O Messenger of Allah.\u201d He \ufdfa said, \u201cSay in the morning and evening [the above].\u201d Ab\u016b Um\u0101mah (ra\u1e0diy All\u0101hu \u02bfanhu) said, \u201cThen I did that, and Allah removed my worries and settled my debts.\u201d\u00a0(Ab\u016b D\u0101w\u016bd 1555)<\/strong><\/p>\n

O Allah, forgive me, guide me, grant me sustenance and wellbeing. I seek your protection from the anguish of standing on the Day of Judgement.<\/pre>\n
\u02bf\u0100sim b. \u1e24umayd said, \u201cI asked \u02bf\u0100\u2019ishah (rad\u0323iy Alla\u0304hu \u2018anha\u0304) about what the Messenger of Allah\ufdfa used to start his night prayer with. She said, \u201cYou have indeed asked me something which no one before you has asked me.
